If you are flying into Malaga Airport later this month, you might like to go to the Malaga Fair which is being held this year from 13th-22nd August.
The event is all about the music and dance and it will begin at the beaches of the Malagueta with an opening ceremony speech given by Javier Ojeda (who is a local singer) followed by a traditional firework display.
Several musical concerts, flamenco performances, bullfights and traditional activities like horse exhibits will take place. Rock and pop concerts are also included and the performance of Miguel Bose is expecting to attract a crow of nearly 50,000.
The main fair will take place in the Paseo del Parque which will stay lit throughout the whole event. There will be more than 240 stands here and all are free of charge.
Parking for 12,500 vehicles will be provided in the fairground area and also 18 buses will run to transfer the visitors to the fairground from the centre of Malaga charging a fare of €1.05.
