Latest on proposed Spanish air strike

Talks between Spanish air traffic controllers and the airports authority AENA have broken down which means there is an increased chance of a three day strike later this month.

The two sides were hoping reach an agreement by last Friday, with AENA then planning to settle the dispute out of court. But the deadline has now been pushed back and the air traffic controllers will decide this Thursday 12th whether to go ahead with their walk out.

The union representing the air traffic controllers said that a decision should be announced on Friday 13th! Airline sector strikes must be announced at least 10 days beforehand so at the moment no flight before 22nd August will be affected by any strike.
