Malaga City Hall has announced that in a bid to prevent drinking in the streets the ‘casetas’ (stalls selling alcohol) will be banned at the August fair in the city centre.
Several groups have complained about alcohol being sold at the fair by unauthorised establishments with people drinking, making a lot of noise and creating a mess in the streets.
The only caseta which will remain will be the Peña Juan Breva in Plaza de la Constitucion and a caseta for youths will be created in Plaza de la Marina.
