Ground Staff and Cabin Crew to join Iberia Pilots Strike

Iberia pilots have held four days of strike action over the last two months in protest against the proposed new low cost airline Iberia Express.

Ground staff and cabin crew have now said that they will join the SEPLA pilots’ union and take strike action next month. Dates for the February stoppages are still to be confirmed, but it is believed they will take place every Monday and Friday to cause maximum disruption.

A total of 20,000 workers are affected, 16,000 on the ground and 4,000 cabin crew.
The pilots say they are prepared to restart talks.

All airports where Iberia operates will be affected.
