The bidding period for the construction of the last section of Malaga Metro has been put out to tender to companies from anywhere in the EU. This is for work on lines 1 and 2 of the metro which has a budget of €115M attached.
The work on lines 1 and 2 which includes two stations: one in the Plaza de la Marina and another at La Malagueta by the bullring, is expected to last for some 38 months with the 1.8km section in Malaga City centre being kept separate for its technical difficulties.
